We are a small, happy and supportive school in mid Devon who firmly believe in the education of the ‘whole child’. We work closely with families and the community as partners in a child’s education to enhance outcomes together. Progress and achievements in many areas are valued and celebrated within the school and the wider community.
We offer a broad and exciting curriculum underpinned by a clear focus on basic skills to enable each child to tackle the world with the confidence and skills in order to make a positive contribution later in life. We have strong teaching and support staff who are committed to raising achievement.
We would love you to visit our school and guarantee a warm welcome. We believe you will be impressed by our high expectations, the quality of teaching, our brilliant learning environment and our motivated and well behaved pupils.
We look forward to seeing you at Bampton Church of England Primary School.
Our new school was completed in Spring 2008 and is situated in the small town of Bampton, which lies close to the River Exe, approximately six miles from the mid-Devon market town of Tiverton. We are fortunate enough to be within stepping distance of some of the most beautiful countryside in Devon.

• 3 large classrooms.
• Foundation Stage Unit.
• IT suite with 15 new computers.
• Large library / community room.
• Brand new outdoor swimming pool.

In line with this term's topic on Africa, we had two great sessions recently. First, Eddie Wensley, a human rights lawyer, who was recently being working in Ghana, came and talked to the children about his experiences
and then in the afternoon the children were treated to a brilliant puppet performance, called the Circle of Tales, an African Myth.

Bampton School hosted the Youth Speaks competition on Wednesday 25th January. 8 teams took part from Bampton, Bolham and Dulverton schools. Bolham were runners up with speech on hobbies but Bampton won with speech on drama. They will now go forward to the next stage of the competition. Well done to all the children who took part.
